2009 Morgan Aero 8 Series 1V Centenary Edition 1909-2009 (one of about 35 special models only produced that year).

The Aero 8, a revelation for Morgan, it's first all new design since the mid-1960s. Automatic 6-sped with manual over-ride. The Aero 8 is as impressive now as it was then. For the first time, Morgan had deployed an aluminium chassis and worked with BMW, not only to gain access to their extensive testing facilities, but also to source a V8 heart.

Despite being an all-new model, the Aero 8 didn't stray too far away from traditional Morgan styling, swooping lines of the 1930s are accented by subtly extended wheel arches, narrowing rear end and at the front, a very traditional Morgan grille sits proudly in front of a traditionally louvred bonnet.

This Aero 8 is a Series IV, supplied new in 2009 it was ordered in an incredibly tasteful specification. Rolls-Royce Velvet Green over a full Biscuit leather interior.

Chosen to be on display at The Hampton Court Concours of Elegance, and was judged by HRH Prince Michael of Kent in 2021. Sold with rosette prize awards. 'Cowfold Country Classic Car Show' award, Eastbourne 'Magnificent Motors' , Isle of Wight Concours d' Elegance and display at Queen Victoria's church.

Having 6-Spoke lightweight alloy wheels finished in a classy silver with a polished lip are wrapped in high-performance Pirelli rubber and tucked behind the combination is a set of AP Racing brakes.

The black fabric roof was replaced in 2012 at a cost of just under £1,000.

On the inside, bucket seats offer the driver enough support, whilst still retaining a decent level of comfort. There is a wide array of machined aluminium components too, the door handles, handbrake lever and surround and of course the turned dashboard. But what Morgan interior would be complete without some wood? None, that's why this one has a wooden top dash rail, door cappings and door armrests. Morgan really pulled out all the stops, even trimming the plastic steering column cowling in black leather to further cement the quality experience.

Open the bonnet and you'll find a BMW N62B48 V8 4.8-litre lightweight compact engine, producing 362bhp. It's mated to a 6-speed-manual gearbox. The car also benefits from a quad-exit performance exhaust that cost approx £1,900.

This Morgan was exported to Germany not long after its delivery in 2009, it was repatriated some ten-years later.

Full service records at 46,000 odd miles in book along with instruction books for sat nav and radio etc. The service records show a well-loved and cared for car:
